Just in time for the start of the year, Polaris is expanding its model range with a new, versatile off-roader: The name says it all with the RZR Trail S 1000 Premium, because the performance side-by-side vehicle (SxS), which is just 152.4 centimeters wide, is made for narrow and challenging trails. In addition, numerous premium equipment features provide impressive driving comfort ex works. In this way, the RZR Trail S 1000 Premium combines exciting agility with an attractive design, high comfort and excellent off-road mobility.
Standard with all-wheel drive, power steering and Walker Evans shock absorbers
The standard highlights include the powerful ProStar 999 engine, the engine brake EBS (Engine Braking System) and the performance-oriented True On-Demand all-wheel drive (AWD). This distributes the power to all four wheels as required and enables excellent propulsion even on loose terrain. Thanks to the electronic power steering (EPS), which is also installed ex works, which only needs two turns from lock to lock, turning maneuvers are child’s play.
In addition, Polaris provides the RZR Trail S 1000 Premium with LED headlights as standard, as well as the 16-way adjustable, two-inch needle valve shock absorbers from the cult off-road brand Walker Evans. The chassis with 31.1 centimeters of spring travel at the front and 33.5 centimeters on the rear axle shines in tough off-road use with excellent off-road mobility and a high level of comfort. The fully adjustable dampers even swallow rough road bumps and literally let the Performance SxS slide over bumps.
31.8 centimeters ground clearance and the best power-to-weight ratio in its class
The latest version of the world’s best-selling Performance SxS impresses with the best power-to-weight ratio in this class and, if necessary, zooms in from curve to curve at a rapid pace. The powerful two-cylinder with double overhead camshaft draws its power from 999 cubic centimeters and has easy play with the low curb weight of 651 kilograms. The RZR Trail S 1000 Premium moves light-footed and agile, even on particularly narrow paths, because it has the narrowest chassis to date and the shortest wheelbase in this series. This makes the compact off-roader in combination with the fast-reacting all-wheel drive, the best-in-class ground clearance of 31.8 centimeters and the small turning circle on any terrain a really big one.
As is typical of Polaris, the new RZR Trail S 1000 Premium unites brisk driving performance with exemplary reliability. The robust coupling impresses with its good controllability and, together with the durable drive belt, enables carefree tours in the field. The same applies to the reinforced GBC Dirt Commander tires in 27-inch format: their eight-layer construction offers the best possible puncture protection.
High everyday comfort, well thought-out ergonomics and modern design
In the newly designed interior, the youngest member of the RZR family impresses with well thought-out ergonomics. The adjustable steering wheel, the even greater legroom and improved, perfectly fitting seats are evidence of this. The latter have a wide range of adjustment options – so drivers of all sizes can find the ideal seating position. The extensive standard equipment package is rounded off by several new storage compartments and the upgraded C4 instrument display, which provides digital information about the most important vehicle data.
The new Polaris RZR Trail S 1000 Premium also makes no compromises when it comes to safety. The driver and front passenger are optimally protected just in case. This is ensured by the standard roll cage and the fully-fledged doors, which are also installed ex works. These not only act as protection against dirt, water and cold, but also reliably prevent branches from penetrating the interior.
The RZR Trail S 1000 Premium skilfully sets the tone. Its modern, clear design harmonises perfectly with the standard color shade Polaris Blue. Striking graphics and red details such as the painted suspension springs create a successful contrast. The LED headlights known from the brand’s Xtreme Performance models underline the aggressive look and bring light into the dark on extended tours. In addition, a large number of new design features add further highlights – including the strikingly designed front and engine hoods, new fender flares, aluminum wheels, the rear side panels as well as the aforementioned one-piece solid doors and the new roll cage.
The new RZR Trail S 1000 Premium will be available from German Polaris dealers from March including 19 percent VAT from € 21,490. In Austria, Polaris is offering the new RZR Trail S 1000 Premium at prices from € 21,699. It is available ex works as a T1b tractor homologation.
