Polaris Off Road ready for 7 day Iceland Expedition in September
At the Polaris Outlanding Project 2022, on September 12, six Polaris employees from all over Europe will start from the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik with three specially equipped Polaris vehicles on a one-week trip criss-crossing the demanding nature of the northern European island state. The aim is to once again demonstrate the outstanding versatility and deeply rooted adventure DNA of the side-by-side vehicles from the off-road specialist.

Specially prepared for the extreme conditions
The Polaris GENERAL is one of the most versatile side-by-side vehicles on the market. One specimen has now been specifically selected and modified for the expedition through the rough nature of Iceland. The GENERAL 1000 EPS Deluxe ABS already has best-in-class suspension travel of 31.1 centimeters at the front and 33.5 centimeters at the rear. There are also adjustable FOX 2.0 Podium QS3 shock absorbers and a Polaris HD winch with more than two tons of pulling power. In addition to the storage space already provided by the GENERAL, the Polaris front rack offers enough space for a spare wheel and other transport boxes for equipment and luggage. The reinforced Pro Armor Beadlock 30″ aluminum wheels contribute to safe progress even in the most demanding terrain. The Pro Armor LED light bar also guarantees the best view even in complete darkness, while the steel rock sliders on the side protect against ramming impacts from rocks and other obstacles.

The six participants of the Polaris Outlanding Project 2022 represent the Polaris offices Germany and Austria, France, Spain and Portugal, Scandinavia as well as the United Kingdom and Ireland. With the expedition, the six adventurers want to show that everyone can escape from everyday life anytime and anywhere – to look for adventure, to dare something new, to find peace. On their tour of Iceland, the expedition members will be completely on their own and their three Polaris vehicles. Support vehicles or additional aids are not available to them during the seven days.

From Reykjavik to the Fagradalsfjall volcano: the breathtaking nature of Iceland
The starting point of the week-long Polaris Outlanding Project 2022 is STORMUR EHF in Reykjavik, the official Polaris distributor in Iceland. There, the three teams of two take over their Polaris expedition vehicles.

Polaris sales partner in Iceland is the company Stormur EHF in Reykjavik – also a specialist for the somewhat different quad tour.

From the state capital in the far west, the route first takes you over the well-developed asphalt roads of the ring road. Then more and more demanding off-road passages await the colleagues, which criss-cross through untouched landscapes, over breathtaking mountain regions and past countless lava fields. One of the absolute highlights of the tour will undoubtedly be the detour to the Fagradalsfjall volcano. It is a good 40 kilometers southwest of Reykjavik and last erupted in early August 2022.
