The wait is over: around a year after its highly acclaimed debut, the Polaris RZR Turbo R, which is consistently geared towards maximum performance, is rolling into the showrooms of the Polaris partners.
With its two-cylinder turbo petrol engine and sophisticated chassis technology, the new model, painted in distinctive Ghost Gray, guarantees maximum driving pleasure and outstanding off-road capabilities. “The new Polaris RZR Turbo R is aimed at all those passionate off-road fans for whom their side-by-side can’t be extreme enough,” explains Steve Menneto, President of Off-Road Vehicles at Polaris Inc. “While they have been using their newly acquired Vehicles that have often been adapted to their ideas with time-consuming and costly work in terms of chassis and running gear, the RZR Turbo R already comes with top-class features as standard.” The Polaris RZR Turbo R is powered by a supercharged and water-cooled four-stroke engine with two cylinders and 925 cubic centimeter displacement. Whether it’s a forced gait at high speed or courageous digging through the most demanding off-road passages: the chassis of the RZR Turbo R is well prepared for all purposes. It consists of double steel wishbones up front with three-piece anti-roll bars and FOX® 3.0 Live Valve X2 Internal Bypass dampers. They enable a usable suspension travel of 69 centimeters.
Compared to the previous models, the rear suspension of the new RZR Turbo R is also extensively modified. Massive tubular links with shielded axle boots plus patented rear tie rods, radius arms with increased ground clearance, anti-roll bars and FOX® 3.0 Live Valve X2 Internal Bypass shock absorbers provide 71 centimeters of travel. With the DYNAMIX DV system, the RZR Turbo R is the first vehicle in its segment to have independent compression and rebound control. The driver can also choose between four suspension and steering modes while driving. The one-piece chassis designed for maximum durability with a reinforced roll bar guarantees a high level of safety. The Polaris RZR Turbo R, which will be available from Polaris partners from July 2022, is homologated according to the EC vehicle class L7e.
