On July 1st, 2021 the time had come for the Fursten Forest to open. At 8:15 a.m. the gate squeaks and the first off-road enthusiasts are happy. The team around the park management Larissa de Roo is ready for the (season) start.

The fans had to wait a long time for this moment. In 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, it was closed for a short time and then again in November until July 1. But now we can go full throttle again. Outdoor event coordinator and offroad trainer Timo Schweers has a smile from ear to ear. He’s finally allowed to inspire customers for off-roading again.

This year the Fursten Forest offers all the usual activities. Quad, buggy, jeep tours
Laser game, monster truck, stunt training, tank rides and much more. And for those who don’t themselves
want to drive but still want to experience the beautiful terrain, there is the tour on the back of the large MAN-KAT. Of course, the escape room with Myrella Schückmann’s team is also ready for the start.

With the MAN through the site: That is just one of the many attractions of the season.

The forced time-out was used sensibly, and Fursten Forest has got two new paintball courts. Airsoft will also be offered soon. The hall for this is almost finished and the team hopes to be able to start this next spring at the latest. The fleet has also been expanded, and the Fursten Forest has a new fleet from Yamaha with quads and side-by-sides. Even the little ones don’t miss out in the Fursten Forest: Mini-Jeep, for example, is an activity for children aged 6 to around 10 years. Ms. de Roo and Mr. Schweers mention that something is also being planned for the teenagers. Hopefully there will be more information about this soon. But be curious. And don’t forget – Myrella Schückmann and her helpers are also planning to expand the popular escape room. Then even more can be puzzled.

Significantly expanded: The Yamaha fleet from Fursten Forest.

“The UFFZ restaurant is also open again,” says restaurant manager Ellen Mol. The restaurant is currently open from Thursday afternoon 4:00 p.m. to Sunday evening 10:00 p.m. “It makes sense to reserve in advance,” recommends Ellen, “as we are almost fully booked on the coming weekends.” The first weddings and celebrations are already being planned again. On Saturdays and Sundays, the breakfast buffet takes place in the Forest Lounge as usual. Of course, the campsite is also open and the rooms in the group accommodation are accessible.

Nothing stands in the way of new off-road adventures.

Ms. de Roo mentions that reserving campsites and free driving can only be done directly through the
Homepage is possible. “This is a relief for us and we have done the guest registration with it”, she explains this innovation. “We also used the time until the reopening to change processes, create hygiene concepts and
to redesign our website. “

The customers were happy that things are finally going again and have adhered to all guidelines, so the résumé of the first weekends. Their arrival turned out to be problem-free. Everyone was well prepared and could – after submitting the 3G certificate – Genesen, Gvaccinated or Gtested – straight to off-roading.
