Always further and faster

Can-Am Maverick X rs Turbo RR 2022 with 200 HP

The range of Can-Am Maverick off-road vehicles in the performance segment is synonymous with performance, handling and … victory. Can-Am is going one step further for 2022 and is the first manufacturer of side-by-side vehicles to offer a 200 hp engine: a lot of power. And in conjunction with the completely new pDrive roller clutch system, the entire dynamic changes at all times due to faster acceleration and immediate power development.

And even if the Can-Am Maverick has the best power-to-weight ratio in its class, the handling remains decisive for a wide range of performance. That’s why the engineers at BRP have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Maverick can handle any terrain thanks to the adaptive Smart Shox suspension, the new 30 “and 32” Maxxis Carnivore tires, the stronger frame and the greater ground clearance and stability handled with ease. This overall combination makes the Maverick what the competition envies BRP.

“The Can-Am Maverick 2022 is the pinnacle of performance-driven side-by-side vehicles,” says Hailie Deegan, professional racing driver and Can-Am brand ambassador. “And the best thing about working with Can-Am is that they always do better. If you are looking for the best in the market and if you enjoy watching others in the rearview mirror trying to keep up, there is no other option. “

Brand new engine variants

Speaking of performance: Can-Am presents two new Rotax motors in its product range – the HD7 / 700 ACE and the HD9, which replace the HD5, HD8 and 800.

The Rotax HD7 is to become the new flagship in the class of vehicles in the lower horsepower range. It will be available for the Can-Am Traxter, where it will replace the HD5 with 37% more power, and with a sportier setup it will power the Maverick Trail 700. The new engine is optimized for off-road use and offers an improved driving experience with reduced noise, less vibrations and less engine heat for the passengers, which leads to greater driving comfort.

The Rotax HD9 variant replaces the HD8 in the Can-Am Traxter. It’s a bigger, more powerful engine that delivers 30% more horsepower than its predecessor. It promises the same reliability, but with best-in-class performance and outstanding torque in the lower speed range, it is even more practical.

“With the addition of the HD7 and HD9 engine variants to the existing HD10, Can-Am is the leader in its class in terms of performance and by far the best option when it comes to tackling upcoming tasks, be it at work or in the field Leisure time ”, says Christian St-Onge, Director Global Product Strategy Can-Am Off-Road Vehicles. “Regardless of which vehicle you choose, this product offering is designed for performance.”

Improvements to the Traxter product range (EU tractor category)

In addition to the engine upgrades, Can-Am is fine-tuning its Traxter product offering by extending ABS to some models with HD9 and HD10 engines. These models therefore benefit from the innovative brake and traction control system, which offers maximum vehicle control even under the most difficult conditions. The models equipped with ABS are no longer limited to 60 km / h.

Extension of the Visco-4Lok range

On the ATV side, Can-Am is expanding its range of Visco 4Lok system. It works at the push of a button, whereby the driver can activate a 4-wheel differential lock, which immediately transfers the same power to all four wheels, thus ensuring excellent traction. The system is now available for all 2022 Outlander and Renegade X mr packages, as well as the Outlander XU (650–1000), Outlander XXC, Outlander XT-P and Outlander MAX Limited.

With these enhancements across its entire line of ATV and side-by-side vehicles, Can-Am is giving all drivers what they crave – whether they live for performance or are adventurers embarking on their next epic journey . This is Can-Am off-road life.
